Around June

AROUND JUNE is a love story set in the shadow of the San Francisco shipyards where an eccentric young woman named June (Samaire Armstrong), lives a quiet life under the care of her much adored Uncle Henry (Brad William Henke) and the watchful eye of her domineering and controlling father Murry (Jon Gries). Life changes when June meets a penniless illegal immigrant, Juan Diego (Oscar Guerrero), whose unconditional love gives her the insight and courage to finally express herself, follow her dreams, break free and live her own life.

REVIEWS/PRESS:
“much adored…”
The Washington Post

“Around June is a love story in the vein of a classic fairy tale with Samaire Armstrong giving a life affirming performance. The acting is exceptional across the board with Jon Gries frightening as her abusive father and Brad William Henke impressive as her mentally challenged uncle whose adoration of her offers little solace.”
