Lauded at Sundance and SXSW, and an Indie Spirit Award winning true story, the film follows the band that was started in 1970s Toronto by two rock-crazy school friends, Steve "Lips" Kudlow and Robb Reiner. A truly real-life Spinal Tap, Anvil! influenced the likes of Metallica and Anthrax, despite working in obscurity for years. Gervasi's feature was a smash hit upon its original release and reinforced Anvil's iconic status. Now, fifty years after formation, the duo continue to rock and, even further, inspire endlessly!
