A documentary about American Cannibal, a would-be reality TV show in which contestants were transported to a tropical island, starved and led to believe one of them would be eaten by the others. The film opens as struggling writers earnestly pitch their ideas, eventually cutting a deal with the man who marketed the Paris Hilton sex tape. The sadistic, shameless reality show they churn out is documented from start to finish: from throwaway pitch to manic auditions through the train-wreck production.
