Adventureland

A comedy set in the summer of 1987 and centered around a recent college grad (Jesse Eisenberg, The Squid and the Whale) who takes a nowhere job at his local amusement park, only to find it's the perfect course to get him prepared for the real world. Kristen Wiig, Ryan Reynolds, Bill Hader and Kristen Stewart co-star. Written and directed by Greg Mottola (Superbad).

“Adventureland feels like a sweeter, more personal riff on Superbad.” (Tim Grierson, Screen International)

“Somehow the story of a young man’s coming of age never gets old, at least when it is told with the kind of sweetness and intelligence Adventureland displays.” (A.O. Scott, New York Times)

“Adventureland is a total delight, with a winsome and terrifically textured cast who seem both like young-adult archetypes and recognizable human beings...director Mottola captures the atmosphere of mid-'80s post-teenage boredom with wonderful charm and specificity” (Andrew O’Hehir, Salon)
