La Bayadere

La Bayadère, (The Temple Dancer) is a ballet originally staged in four acts and seven tableaux by French choreographer Marius Petipa to the music of Ludwig Minkus. La Bayadère was first performed by the Imperial Ballet at the Imperial Bolshoi Kamenny Theatre in St. Petersburg, Russia, on 4 February 1877. This version is from the revision of 1941 choreographed by Vladimir Ponomarev and Vakhtang Chabukiani including dances by Konstantin Sergeyev and Nikolai Zubkovsky.
This performance of La Bayadère was recorded live at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg on 14 July 2014 and was part of the annual Stars of the White Nights Festival.
