Sweet Emma, Dear Bobe

Roommates Emma (Johanna Ter Steege) and Böbe (Enikö Börcsök) are Russian language teachers in Budapest, Hungary. After the fall of the Soviet Union makes their skills outdated, the two women switch to teaching English, though they know little more than their students. Emma balances an unhappy relationship with the school's married headmaster (Peter Andorai), her life with Böbe and the trials and tribulations of existence in a country stumbling to come to grips with life after the Cold War.
