YARN is a vibrant documentary that follows top international artists and knitters as they bring yarn to the streets and into people’s lives in sensational new ways. The film was directed by Una Lorenzen, an Icelandic filmmaker and animator.

The traditional crafts of crochet and knitting have become one of the hottest movements in modern art. Starting in Iceland, this quirky and thought-provoking film takes us on a colorful and global journey as we discover how yarn connects us all.

Featured in the documentary are world-renowned wool graffiti artist Olek, interactive textile creator and curator Toshiko Horiuchi MacAdam, production designer Tilde Björfors of Cirkus Cikör, and National Humanities Medal winning writer Barbara Kingsolver.
