Support the Girls

Regina Hall (GIRLS TRIP) stars as a restaurant manager who may not love her job but loves her employees like family. Co-starring Haley Lu Richardson and introducing Shayna McHayle alongside Brooklyn Decker, Jana Kramer, James Le Gros, Dylan Gelula, AJ Michalka and Lea DeLaria, the film is an astute and very funny look at a group of women who band together to forge a family in the most unlikely of places.

Lisa Conroy (Hall) is the last person you'd expect to find in a highway-side "sports bar with curves," but as general manager at Double Whammies, she's come to love the place and its customers. A devoted den mother, she nurtures and protects her girls fiercely - but over the course of one trying day, her incurable optimism is tested. Double Whammies sells a big, weird American fantasy, but what happens when reality pokes a bunch of holes in it?

"As the details gather, thickening the story, what seemed like drift is revealed as textured realism. Mr. Bujalski's touch is so light that it can be easy to miss what he's doing." (Manohla Dargis, New York Times)
