A child is stalked and kidnapped by a New Orleans Voodoo priestess who commits murder in a blood ritual. She chants as she charts revenge against a girl named Dani who she blames for her husband having an affair. Meanwhile, Dani leaves her hometown by train to Los Angeles on vacation. She carries her video camera and captures much of the journey.
She is greeted warmly in Southern California by her cousin, Stacy, who grew up with her in New Orleans. Her cousin introduces her to her house mates and friends. Dani and her cousin enjoy the sights of Hollywood, Venice, Beverly Hills and other parts of Southern California, even though there are bad omens. Dani feels spooked in the house where she is staying, but doesn’t know why.
Stacy and her friends become victims of the evil stalking Dani, who soon finds herself dragged into Hell – the home of the devil and his demons. She’s then terrorized as she’s dragged down through level after level, past strange beings, demons and deranged creatures. She is taunted about her own past sins and then forced to face her dead uncle, who molested her as a child, and her late mother, who was unable to save Dani from her destined encounter.
