Film Summary
Following The Polar Express (2004) and Beowulf (2007), the director Robert Zemeckis continues his work in 3-D animation, using the performance capture process to turn live actors into vivid animations. In this adaptation of the Dickens story, Jim Carrey plays Scrooge at three stages of his life, as well as the three ghosts who come to visit him on Christmas Eve. Other captured cast members include Gary Oldman, Cary Elwes, Colin Firth, Bob Hoskins and Robin Wright Penn.
