Film Summary
Maurice Sendak's 1963 children's book as adapted by the writer Dave Eggers and the director Spike Jonze; Max Records plays the little boy who conjures an imaginary island populated by monsters when he feels rejected by his mother (Catherine Keener). With Mark Ruffalo, Chris Cooper and the voices of Lauren Ambrose, James Gandolfini, Catherine O'Hara and Tom Noonan.
