Film Summary
Jane Fonda stars as intergalactic sex kitten Barbarella, sent from Earth to find the villainous Duran Duran - yes, it's where they got the name - and stop him from destroying the universe with his positronic ray. But the real story is about Barbarella discovering the secrets of sexual pleasure at the hands of a variety of men, including a furry child-catcher (Ugo Tognazzi), an addlepated anarchist (David Hemmings), and a hunky angel (John Philip Law). Directed by Fonda's then-husband Roger Vadim, Barbarella features an eye-popping assortment of outrageous visuals and an assortment of clingy, fetishistic costumes for its sexy star.
