Film Summary
A satire from Paul Weitz (About a Boy) in which a newly re-elected U.S. president (Dennis Quaid), trying desperately to seem engaged, appears as a judge on an American Idol-like TV show. Chaos seems imminent, however, because one of the show's finalists is a would-be terrorist. Mandy Moore stars as the other finalist, a conniving steel magnolia, Hugh Grant as the self-aggrandizing, self-loathing TV show host.
