Eric Trules, the writer-director, is also a poet, performance artist and professor at the USC School of Theater. He has created a courageous, passionate and insightful personal documentary about his relationship with his uncle Harvey, a confessed murderer and professional criminal. The film deals with their relationship during the last five years of Harvey's life, as Eric comes to terms with his own moral conflicts and conscience. He learns that life, crime and morality are often reduced to difficult choices, and that the past has a way of catching up with us.
