A new documentary about the trip of eight Jewish delegates to meet the Dalai Lama of Tibet. Roger Kamenetz went along to observe and write about the experience. The trip and the writing of his book The Jew in the Lotus changed his life. Laurel Chiten an award-winning documentarian (Twitch and Shout) records the writer’s personal journey back to his Jewish roots and tells the story of this Jewish Buddhist encounter, including interviews with the Dalai Lama, Rabbi Yitz Greenberg, Blu Greenberg, Reb Zalman Shacter-Shlomi and Jonathan Omer Man.
