Based on the prize-winning best seller Fragments: Memories of a Childhood, published in 1995, director Esther Van Messl tells the story of Binjamin Wilkomirski the only member of his family to survive Auschwitz. After the war he is adopted by a Swiss couple and advised to forget his past. Fifty years later, an elderly orthodox Jew in Israel becomes
